Face Painting Policies & Procedures
At Imaginations Carnival and Characters, we are committed to providing a fun, safe, and memorable face painting experience for every guest. Please review the following policies before your event.
Professional Products
We use professional, skin-safe face paints and cosmetic-grade products designed specifically for face painting. Our products are non-toxic and easily washable with mild soap and warm water.
Adult Permission
Children under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian before receiving face paint.
Health & Safety
For the health and safety of all guests:
- We do not paint over cuts, scrapes, sunburns, rashes, irritated skin, or open wounds.
- We reserve the right to decline face painting if a guest appears to have a contagious illness or skin condition.
- If a child has known skin allergies or sensitivities, parents should notify the face painter before services begin.
Artist Discretion
Our artists reserve the right to decline any design that is inappropriate, offensive, or unsafe.
Please Wait Your Turn
Guests are served on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise arranged by the event organizer. We kindly ask everyone to form a single line and be respectful of others waiting.
Parent Supervision
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children while they are waiting in line and during the face painting process.
Stay Still
For the best results and the safety of everyone, guests should remain seated and still while being painted. Excessive movement may affect the quality of the design.
Design Selection
To serve as many guests as possible, simple designs may be offered during high-volume events. More detailed designs may be available when time permits.
Time Limit
Face painting services are provided for the time reserved by the client. Once the contracted time has ended, services will conclude unless additional time has been arranged and approved.
Hygiene Practices
Our artists maintain strict hygiene standards by:
- Sanitizing brushes and tools regularly.
- Using clean water throughout the event.
- Following professional sanitation procedures between guests.
- Using clean sponges and applicators whenever possible.
Weather Policy
Outdoor face painting requires protection from direct sunlight, rain, and excessive wind. Clients are responsible for providing a shaded, covered area when necessary.
Photography
We may photograph our artwork for promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise before the event.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for providing:
- A safe, clean, and level work area.
- Adequate lighting for evening events.
- Protection from weather when outdoors.
- One table and two chairs if not included in the booking.
Behavior Policy
Any guest who is aggressive, disrespectful, or disruptive toward our staff may be refused service.
Allergic Reactions
Although allergic reactions are rare, Imaginations Carnival and Characters cannot guarantee that every guest will react the same to cosmetic products. Parents should advise our artists of any known allergies before face painting begins.
Payment & Cancellations
- A deposit is required to reserve your event.
- Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new available date with advance notice.
- Remaining balances are due as outlined in your booking agreement.
